Wisconsin Rapids Sunrise Rotary Scholarship & Mentor Award - Wisconsin Rapids Sunrise Rotary has established a scholarship opportunity with a mentoring component designed to the needs of the student. Students must agree to participate in mentoring activities as determined by the Sunrise Rotary Club such as attending a limited number of local Rotary meetings or activities such as job coaching, job shadowing, career exploration, and/or other opportunities to build educational and career success.
Criteria:
• High school graduate or student who has earned an HSED or GED prior to fall semester
• Must reside within Wisconsin Rapids, Nekoosa, or Port Edwards school districts o Accepted or awaiting acceptance for enrollment at an accredited college, university, or technical college; preference may be given to a student attending an institution in central Wisconsin
• Demonstrates financial need documented through the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid at FAFSA.gov
• Currently experiencing socio-economic barriers to obtaining higher education
