The Wisconsin Rapids Sunrise club offers scholarships for students.

Sunrise Youth Rotar Program Scholarship - Sunrise Scholarships have been established to recognize students that participate in their "Youth Rotar Program" during the current academic year. South Wood County graduating High School Seniors who participated in monthly Sunrise Rotary meetings accepted or awaiting acceptance for full-time enrollment at an accredited college, university, or technical college are encouraged to apply for the scholarship. Applications will be available in April for those who have participated in the 2020-2021 school year. Wisconsin Rapids Sunrise Rotary Scholarship & Mentor Award - Wisconsin Rapids Sunrise Rotary has established a scholarship opportunity with a mentoring component designed to the needs of the student. Students must agree to participate in mentoring activities as determined by the Sunrise Rotary Club such as attending a limited number of local Rotary meetings or activities such as job coaching, job shadowing, career exploration, and/or other opportunities to build educational and career success. Criteria: • High school graduate or student who has earned an HSED or GED prior to fall semester • Must reside within Wisconsin Rapids, Nekoosa, or Port Edwards school districts o Accepted or awaiting acceptance for enrollment at an accredited college, university, or technical college; preference may be given to a student attending an institution in central Wisconsin • Demonstrates financial need documented through the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid at • Currently experiencing socio-economic barriers to obtaining higher education Application details and deadline are available at:


Sunrise Rotary Scholarship for Miss Wisconsin Rapids Congeniality Award Recipient - Sunrise Rotary recognizes the individual selected as Miss Congeniality at the Miss Wisconsin Rapids Pageant with a scholarship to pursue their goals for post-secondary education. More information can be obtained by contacting the Miss Wisconsin Rapids Area Scholarship Organization.


Sunrise Rotary “Shoulder to Shoulder” Scholarship - Sunrise Rotary offers an international scholarship for high school students in Intibucá, Honduras to provide an opportunity for students to continue with their education. The Scholarship may be designated for tuition, school supplies, uniforms, after-school support or a stipend for transportation and food. More information can be obtained at
